| Description: This very special print combines the talents of two of today's most celebrated aviation artists: R.G. Smith and Steve Tack (you'll note both of their signatures at the bottom of the piece). The concept began life eight years ago as the beginnings of a drawing by R.G. Smith. Wanting to develop something truly unique for this year's annual event, the Tailhook Institute contacted Steve to finish his grandfather's original sketch. A black and white drawing artfully depicting two F14-D Tomcats flying above our newest carrier, the USS Ronald Reagan, this experience gave Steve the chance to complete his grandfather's vision using his own dinstinctly personal style—a collaboration that has resulted in a beautiful print that will be surely become a collector's piece. |
