What Are Canvas Prints?
A giclée canvas print is a high resolution digital print made from an archival ink and media combination and is considered the world's best technique for reproducing original works of art for printing digitally created art and fine art photography.

Canvas Prints vs. Original Art
Giclée canvas prints look and feel like original art. Since giclée printmaking is digital throughout the entire process, there is much more control of color and greater opportunity for artist interaction. Color is much richer and more saturated than other types of printing. Each canvas is personally inspected and signed by the artist prior to delivery. Additionally, canvas prints feature a fade & color shift resistance of better than 25 years for average indoor light conditions. When museum quality lighting is used, this time span increases up to 200 years. Furthermore, giclée canvas prints can be remarqued by the artist.

Which paintings can be ordered as giclées?

Virtually any image on this website can be reproduced as a giclée. View the Showcase page for the most suitable aviation art images for canvas reproductions.

What's the difference between a poster and a lithograph?

A lithograph is a limited-edition high-quality reproduction of an original painting that is printed on a heavy fine art acid-free stock. All of Steve Tack's lithographs are signed by the artist and numbered (i.e. 250/2,500 meaning that the litho was the 250th printed out of a total of 2,500 printed), thus adding to their overall value.

Can I request a specific number for a lithograph?

You may request a specific number at the time of order, and if that number is available we will be happy to ship it to you. If no request is specified, or if the number requested is not available, we will always ship the lowest number available.

What is an Artist Proof?

An Artist Proof is a lithograph that has been hand inspected by the artist for color accuracy and detail in respect to the original painting. An Artist Proof is of greater value because it has been personally reviewed by the artist.

How long until I receive my shipment?

We make shipments two times a week and will always do our best to process your order as quickly as possible. Most orders usually arrive within 7-10 working days.

What's the best way to store prints?

It's always best to get them out of the shipping tube and store them flat between several sheets of acid-free paper (i.e. rice paper) until you can get them framed.

When will you offer framing?

We are currently looking into the possibility of adding a framing service to our gallery site. To stay posted on the latest prints and services offered, sign up for our e-mail list and we'll be sure to keep you up-to-date.
